Great post, and no I hadn’t heard of McMaster! Cool. But ya, the US involvement.

So that capital funds the facility and the jobs and the product delivery, and all the profits go back to the hedge fund. That's good in so many ways, and I am not against the principle, I just wish there was some kind of .5%-1% profit grab that Canada could keep. Hamilton will get some tax money I guess... Canadian hedge funds return profit to the investors and not the province or country too, I just wish. Thanks for the article, always want to know about new things!

A good article and a vital expansion for the fabrication of radio pharmaceuticals. At least the facility is here, the employees are ours. The ownership is unfortunate but must be acknowledged.

It is perhaps outside your scope but any discussion of radio isotopes should include mention of AECL and the Chalk River Laboratories. The National Research Universal Reactor produced decades of radio isotopes for medical use and was a major world supplier for same. Unfortunately the government elected to shutter the reactor in 2018 rather than funding a new one. Chalk River Laboratories continues research on targeted alpha therapies.

So it is good the Hamilton facility is expanding.
