Sadly, unless their process is beefed up significantly, I won’t believe any validation result Elections Alberta provides. We have already seen on the Water Not Coal petition that Elections Alberta does not have the resources to reliably verify.
I am not feeling very confident that the Oct 19 referendum will be conducted fairly. I am expecting Smith and her loyalists to do voter suppression and messing with the count. She follows and adopts the tricks that Trump and Project 2025 have utilized in the US to disenfranchise citizens. I hope there are independent election monitors and invigilators. We should prepare for skullduggery.
