The Sanity Project is written and published by Bo Kauffmann in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We publish Canadian news analysis, explainers and opinion from a progressive, Canada-first perspective. Our factual claims should be supported by evidence, and our opinions should be recognisable as opinions.
Sources and accuracy
We prefer original documents, public data and direct statements when they are available. We also use credible reporting and link to the sources behind important factual claims. Before publishing, we check figures, dates and the context of comparisons.
When evidence is incomplete or experts disagree, we say so. We aim to distinguish what happened from what we think it means.
Corrections
Readers can flag a possible error by sending us the article link and the evidence. We review substantive correction requests and, when we change a material fact, add a dated note explaining the correction. Small spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a note.
Independence and funding
The Sanity Project is free to read and subscribe to. Advertising, sponsorships and affiliate links, if used, will be clearly labelled. A sponsor or affiliate relationship does not determine our editorial conclusions.
